No Guns Life Season(Cour) 2 Announced for April 2020

2019 has been a great year for anime overall. Otakus around the world got to view all kinds of genres with anime and manga becoming more and more popular every passing day. This has led to much easier accessibility for anime adaptations on streaming platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, etc.

One such anime that spurred excitement via non-japanese streaming platforms was No Guns Life by Karasuma and it recently announced the second cour.

Title and the Release Date

No Guns Life Season 2 was recently announced, and it happens to be a Split-cour with the second part to be out in April. Season 1 had 12 episodes, and the new upcoming 13th episode of the anime will continue from where it left.

The anime’s Blu-ray Disc and DVD are also scheduled on their website to be released in Japan. They will have four volumes that will ship next year on February 26, April 22, July 22, and September 18, respectively.

No Guns Life Season 1

Humans are turned into powerful cyborg soldiers with their body parts replaced with actual weapons to be used in wars. There are many such “Extended” in the city whose bodies were modified to turn them into dangerous weapons. After the war, Inui Juzo, one such Extended with no memories of his past life starts a business that takes care of Extended related incidents in the city.

A young and intelligent woman, Mary, assists him. One day on his way to the office, Juzo gets to know about an incident. A small kid was kidnapped by an Extended. As soon as he reaches the office, he sees a giant robotic man with a boy on his back crashing in, asking for help. Something about the story seems very fishy, and Juzo must figure out what’s going on and why this man is on the run.

No Guns Life is a 2019 TV anime series based on the manga series of the same, directed by Itou Naoyuki, Madhouse Studios. The original manga series was done by Tasuku Karasuma and is being published in Shueisha’s seinen manga magazine Ultra Jump since August 2014. The TV series licensed by Funimation was first aired on October 10, 2019, and went on air every Thursday.
