Netflix’s BEASTARS Season 2 Under 2nd Phase of Production

Beastars anime seeks to portray a human-like society among animals. Although “survival of the fittest” is the rule of the jungle, the modernized and civilized animals in Beastars maintain a harmonized community.

When animals form a society like humans, their first problem is food habits. How can carnivores and herbivores live together? Will natural enemies be able to suppress their instincts?

The news of progression is like music to our ears since the COVID-19 threat has already delayed a lot of broadcasts and productions.

The anime’s production procedure seems to be going at a brisk pace so far, and it shows that situations are gradually getting normal.

Studio Orange is producing the anime, and it will air in the +Ultra block of Fuji TV in Japan in 2021.

Season 2 Plot

The Beastars anime is sticking to the original manga’s plot as much as possible, and the second season might kick off from where season 1 ended. However, there is no official announcement for the plot yet.

Season 2 might start with the Murder Incident Solution Arc of the manga. Legoshi narrowly escapes the Shishigumi and saves Haru.

About Beastars

Beastars is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki.

It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Champion since September 2016, with its chapters collected in 19 tankōbon volumes as of July 2020.

The story takes place in a world of modern, civilized, anthropomorphic animals with a cultural divide between carnivores and herbivores.

It follows the story of Legoshi, a large gray wolf, a timid and quiet student of Cherryton Academy, where he lives in a dorm with several other carnivore students, including his outgoing Labrador friend, Jack.

One day that no one saw coming, Tem the alpaca is brutally murdered and devoured in the night, setting off a wave of unease and distrust between the herbivore and carnivore students.
