Netflix Trailer Teases Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan’s February Release

Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan, the spinoff series of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure will be streaming on Netflix soon! Rohan Kishibe is not from the Joestar bloodline, yet he is a character interesting enough to take the lead role.

With powers like mind reading and altering others’ memories, Kishibe serves as a vital point for solving various mysteries. The OVAs keep the essence of the original series alive but add their own spin to it.

Netflix is streaming a new trailer for the upcoming premiere of the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan OVAs. The four OVAs will start streaming from 18th February in 190 countries.

The trailer shows some bloody and gory scenes with explicit details. The Jojo series does not shy away from gruesome details and the trailer is a reminder of just that.

Rohan Kishibe is a manga artist, but he travels around the world to add a more realistic touch to his creations. On his travels, he comes across bizarre locations, people, and mysteries.

The titles of the 4 OVAs are:

  • Millionaire Village (2017)
  • Mutsu-kabe Hill (July 2018)
  • At a Confessional (December 2019)
  • The Run (December 2019)

Hirohiko Araki, the creator of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, was particularly taken by Rohan Kishibe, so much so that he made a series of one-shots on the character.

Many people say that Kishibe is based on Araki himself and that the character is his fictional alter-ego.

The first OVA of the series was available for those who bought the complete collection of Diamond is Unbreakable DVD/BluRay volumes. The second OVA was shipped with the manga’s second volume.

The 3rd and 4th OVAs had theatrical premieres in six cities in Japan from 2019-2020.

The first six parts form a saga detailing the supernatural conflicts between members of the Joestar family and various villains. The latter two parts follow a continuity reboot, taking place in an alternate universe with many parallels to the original.
