Transition Game is going to be a breakthrough in the sports manga genre with its unique origin.

Even though he is one of the top basketball players in the world, Robin Lopez is an avid comic book nerd and an anime enthusiast like the rest of us. So now, he has decided to combine all the things he loves into one single thing.

NBA players Brook (Bucks) and Robin (Wizards) Lopez and their brother Christopher Lopez have released a new basketball manga, Transition Game. Japanese manga artist TATSUZ will draw the manga.

The first chapter of the manga is available on the official website in English, Japanese, and Chinese.

The story follows an American teenage basketball player, Kameron Ford, whose life is uprooted when his mother, who serves in the Navy, is promoted to a new post in Japan.

The first chapter opens up with 42 seconds left in the fourth quarter of the U17 German Club Championship final. The young prodigy must step up to help his team clinch the championship!

The manga is all colored, and the art style is very reminiscent of a comic. It seems TATSUZ has managed to integrate Robin’s love for traditional comics into the manga.

Robin has opened up the way for other NBA players to be involved in the project who are interested in creating their own manga. So it is only a matter of time before we see Giannis playing with Kameron in the story.
