My Next Life as a Villainess season 2 has been confirmed for a release in July 2021 as per the official announcement. Although the exact date has not been confirmed, it is expected to come out any day now.

Season 1 aired from April 4, 2020, to June 20, 2020, with a total of 12 episodes, the show garnered a surprising amount of appreciation from the fans.

2. Theory Section

Unlike other Isekai shows, which are quite prevailing in the anime industry My Next Life as a Villainess has a twist in the storyline, the main character, Katarina, is reincarnated in a game where she isn’t the hero but the main villain, who would reach only on end, death. Katarina desperately plays very safe and uses her experience as her strength.

The novel series and manga have over 600,000 copies in print. There is no more information regarding the money made by the franchise.

II. Animation Quality

The animation was quite good, but the art and background were appreciated explicitly by the fans due to its full of color nature.

Whenever the Isekai genre comes into mind, we think of the same old story. But, “My Next Life as a Villainess” changes this with an exciting twist up its sleeve. The comedy is actually entertaining and doesn’t get stale with the story moving forward.

Story progression is present as well as character growth-that is mainly affected by Katarina’s survival and planning, to both her intentional and unintentional extent. (Score-9/10)

The official website for the anime has shared the release date along with a short PV for Season 2.

The PV reveals some unseen clips from the upcoming season. We can clearly see Catarina’s confusion as she finds out about the reverse harem turn of her own story arc.

5. Plot

After hitting her head particularly hard one day, Duke Claes’ daughter, Katarina, remembers her past teen life in which she suffered an untimely death, and the last thing she did was play an otome game, which is exactly like the world she lives in now!

She is now Katarina Claes, the antagonist of the otome game, who nastily hounded the protagonist until the end.

The story revolves around the question that Will Katarina survive while making her way through this world, where bad flags trip at every turn?

6. Expected Storyline

The first season has only used the 1st and 2nd volumes of the light novel with a little bit from the 5th volume, so the second season will cover the 3rd and 4th volumes of the light novel.

8. About the Anime

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! For short, known as HameFura is a Japanese light novel series written by Satoru Yamaguchi and illustrated by Nami Hidaka.

Originally Hamfura’s web manga was wrapped up way back in March 2015 with 34 chapters. Later in 2015, Hamfura was traversed into a light novel format. This light novel series was then used as the source material for the anime adaptation.

A manga adaptation with art by Hidaka has been serialized in Ichijinsha’s shōjo manga magazine Monthly Comic Zero Sum since August 2017.
