My Instant Death Ability Light Novel Series Gets TV Anime

On December 1, Earth Star Entertainment announced that Tsuyoshi Fujitaka’s light novel series, My Instant Death Ability is So Overpowered, is being adapted into a television anime. A mini teaser trailer was released to announce the anime.

The plot of Fujitaka’s novel series revolves around Yogiri Takatou, who discovers on a class trip that his entire class has been transported to another world. All his classmates were bestowed with powers by a mysterious sage.

Takatou managed to sleep through this ordeal and woke up to realize he and one another classmates were the only two left behind by their friends to distract a ruthless dragon.

Despite not being bothered by the thought of death, Takatou takes it upon himself to save his companion, using his secret power to invoke death with a single thought.

The light novel series was first published in October 2016, and currently consists of 13 volumes and one million copies in circulation.

Additional details about the anime, including the cast, staff, and release date, are yet to be revealed.
