My Hero Academia: New OVA to Premiere on Netflix Japan

Through their official Twitter account, Netflix Japan has announced that the My Hero Academia franchise is receiving a new OVA, which will be released on October 11th, 2020.

The action-packed manga has been published in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014, with its chapters compiled into 27 independent books as of July 2020.

The superhero manga series was adapted into an anime television series by Bones that aired four seasons as of April 2020, and a fifth season has been announced. The franchise is also home to numerous OVAs.

Fans were left speechless with My Hero Academia’s fourth and latest season, which showed immense character growth, emotions and like all good superhero shows, the villains had gotten more powerful.

The main characters of Class 1-A go through hell and back to ensure justice prevails, Deku works hard to take All Might’s place, and Endeavour shows a never-before-seen gentler side to his fiery personality.

According to the poster announced for the Jump Festa 2021, we are expecting that My Hero Academia Season 5’s release date and even a trailer may soon be released.

About My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia is a Japanese superhero manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi.

It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014, with its chapters additionally collected in 24 tankōbon volumes as of August 2019.

It follows a quirkless boy Izuku Midoriya and how he backs the greatest Hero alive. Midoriya, a boy who has been admiring heroes and their ventures since the day he was born, came into this world without a quirk.

On one fateful day, he meets All Might, the greatest Hero of all time, and discovers that he was quirkless as well.

With his diligent attitude and unwavering spirit about being a hero, Midoriya manages to impress All Might. He is chosen to be the heir to the power of One for All.
