On top of that, the movie is less than a month away! Adding to all that comes a special one-shot about a new fan favorite.

Endeavor is a character who wasn’t liked by the fans when he was first introduced. His motivations for being a hero and his attitude towards Shoto and other members of his family were the main reasons why.

Yet, surprisingly, his arc at the end of Season 4 changed a lot of opinions about him. Now, he is getting the spotlight once again.

Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine Issue 35 will be released with a special 17-page one-shot titled “Endeavor’s Mission” by Akiyama Youko, an assistant to mangaka Kohei Horikoshi himself.

This one-shot will be released on 1st August, commemorating the release of the My Hero Academia: World Heroes Mission movie.

The special one-shot is expected to act as a prelude to the movie which will be released on 5th August 2021.

The Weekly Shonen Jump will be on a break next week because of the start of the Tokyo Olympics. Hence, the delay in the release of Issue 35.

Given Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki’s heavy involvement in the upcoming film, Endeavor is likely to play a supporting role.

My Hero Academia is a Japanese superhero manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014, with its chapters additionally collected in 37 tankōbon volumes as of February 2023.

It follows a quirkless boy Izuku Midoriya and how he backed the greatest Hero alive. Midoriya, a boy who has been admiring heroes and their ventures since the day he was born, came into this world without a quirk, where almost everybody is born with one.

On one fateful day, he meets All Might the greatest Hero of all time and discovers that he was quirkless as well. With his diligent attitude and unwavering spirit about being a hero, Midoriya manages to impress All Might. He is chosen to be the heir to the power of One for All.
