The franchise has also announced on its official Twitter account that new information about the “Muv-Luv Alternative” anime will be revealed on October 24th, 2020.

A.I.R shared Muv-Luv’s news update on their official Twitter account as well.

Muv-Luv was originally an adult game that was released for Windows in the year 2003. It consists of two parts: Muv-Luv Extra and Muv-Luv Unlimited.

It was later adapted into a Japanese visual novel developed by age. The game was followed by a sequel, Muv-Luv Alternative.

The Muv-Luv franchise is also home to several other styles of games, many manga spin-offs, and anime series.

“Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse” is the franchise’s first anime series that was aired and completed in 2012.

One of the franchise’s spin-off Schwarzesmarken novels received an anime adaptation, titled, “Schwarzesmarken” that aired and concluded in 2016.

Towards the end of a live event in October 2019, age revealed the on-screen title “Muv-Luv Alternative in Animation”, followed by a clip of a new animation, which could mean an upcoming anime adaptation of the original Muv-Luv Alternative story is in progress.

In the Muv-Luv Alternative manga, the protagonist Takeru wakes up three years after the end of the previous adaptation, Muv-Luv Unlimited, and finds himself back in his room.

He initially thinks that it was all a dream until he leaves his house to find that he has traveled back in time to when the events in Unlimited first began.

Unable to accept Alternative V, he aids professor Kouzuki in completing Alternative IV to save the world.
