Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 2: Release Info, Visuals, and Trailers

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S is the second season of the slice of life/ wholesome comedy anime that captured everyone’s hearts after Season 1. Season 2 has officially been confirmed and will release in Summer 2021. 

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid takes place in modern japan and focuses on a software engineer named Miss Kobayashi. Kobayashi is a woman who at the start of the anime, exudes a feeling of normalcy. She works a 9-5 job, catering to her superiors’ demands and drinks with her coworkers like an ordinary Japanese salaryman.

After a drunken stunt lands Miss Kobayashi lost in the middle of a mountain wilderness, she comes across the dragon Toru. Through her wit, charm, and drunken confidence, she convinces Toru to be her maid only to forget about it the next morning! The story kicks off with Toru becoming a permanent resident of the Kobayashi’s humble adobe.

1. Release Date

Season 2 of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is all set to release in July 2021. Its exact release date is still unclear, but we expect Season 2 to come out in the first week of July itself.

2. Visuals & Trailers

A new visual has been released for Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, where Kanna, Tohru, Quetzalcoatl, and Elma are seen together. We also get a sneak at a new character, Ilulu, a dragon girl from the Chaos Faction whose primary motive is to drive Toru away from Miss Kobayashi.

A trailer for Season 2 has also been released where we see a new dragon, Ilulu, trying to fight Toru. The clash between Ilulu and Toru is probably going to be the highlight of Season 2. The trailer also announces the new staff for Season 2.

3. About Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is a Slice of life, fantasy, comedy manga written and illustrated by Cool-Kyou Shinja. The manga began serialization in Monthly Action magazine from May 25, 2013.

It revolves around Kobayashi, a stoic programmer. While on her way to work, Kobayashi gets frightened after seeing the head of a dragon. Staring at her, the dragon immediately transforms into a young girl dressed in a maid outfit.

Introducing herself as Tooru, she reminds Kobayashi of her offer to stay in her home while she was drunk the previous night. Regretting her decision, she agrees to Tooru’s request to work as a personal maidservant to repay the debt for a shelter.
