Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Announces Season 2 in 2021

Otakus love reading or watching a slice of life genre material. The notion of following a character’s life is extremely appealing to the audience. Fans also love this genre as it is light-hearted. They can sit back, relax, and enjoy well-written characters.

The slice of life genre features quite a few popular titles like:

  • Toradora!
  • Clannad
  • The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
  • Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day
  • Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!

Another appealing factor to this genre is the comedic factor. The weird antics of the characters and well-placed gags make them extremely enjoyable.

An anime that takes a different take on this comedic slice of life genre is Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid. This anime, placed in a fantasy setting follows the life of a dragon maid and a stoic programmer.

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid had previously surprised fans in February 2019 with an announcement confirming a second season for the anime. No further reports came about the show, and information about the anime was kept under wraps.

A tweet by Ryokutya837 has announced that Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 2 will reportedly premiere in 2021.
