Yet, it looks like the anime is in demand since it’s receiving a second season. Despite having an interesting premise, it got confusing for the audience somewhere along the way.

The animation has received mixed reviews as well. Is Studio Level 5 ready to fix these mistakes in season two?

Megaton-kyu Musashi will receive a second season in fall 2022. Episode one of the first season premiered on December 10, 2021, and the next season’s announcement came immediately afterward.

Arshem and Yamato’s love story has already set sail in season 1 of the anime. They have promised to save the Earth together, but it’s yet to be fulfilled.

Sarzant and Grieffas have also hooked up. You’d never know a huge battle is near if you saw these lovebirds.

The Sidr, on the other hand, wasted no time attacking Ixia. The biggest battle of all time started in episode 12 as all pilots geared up for the oncoming disaster.

The finale of season 1 didn’t conclude the story, and I guess season 2 will continue from here.

Although the plot still needs to get cleared up, the issues with animation also need dire attention. The mecha fights remind me of the early Power Rangers series, and the techniques used were too inconsistent.

About Megaton Musashi

Megaton Musashi is an anime project based on a game by the same name. Level 5 founder and president Akihiro Hino is credited as the anime’s chief director and original creator, and is also writing and supervising the anime’s scripts.

The story takes place after 90 percent of humanity wiped out due to an invasion. Survivors live in a shelter where their lives are monitored, and memories of the invasion erased.

Three teenagers from the shelter are chosen to pilot three machines that combine to form the Musashi robot, made out of a material named Megatronium alloy.
