It was heartbreaking for all of us when we got to know that Masamune-kun’s Revenge R will not arrive this season. The second season was announced last year since its debut in 2017. It was supposed to arrive in April but was postponed to July on account of the COVID-19 scenario.
But fans are still excited for the upcoming season, as Masamune will try to plot once again on the class trip to Paris.
A new commercial for Masamune-kun’s Revenge R was released by the production staff with a new key visual on Friday. The commercial revealed that the season will premiere on July 3.
The 30-second video shows new footage showing all the main characters including Masamune, Aki, Yoshino, and the newly-introduced Muriel Besson.
For the second season, the voice cast is listed below. Most of the members are reprising their roles from the first season.

Studio Silver Link is also returning to work on the animation production of the series. Mirai Minato is directing the series with Michiko Yokote composing the scripts. Yuki Sawairi is designing the characters for the anime adaptation.
I am so excited about this season, as the first season covered half of the canon material i.e. six volumes. The remaining five will be covered for sure in this season. Although it hasn’t been said, it might also cover the After School manga, which is just one volume.
About Masamune-kun’s Revenge
Masamune-kun’s Revenge is a manga by Hazuki Takeoka and Tiv which was originally serialized in Monthly Comic Rex Magazine by Ichijinsha from October 12 to June 2018. It received a 12-episode anime in 2017. A second season will be released in July 2023.
The series revolves around Masamune, a guy who used to be chubby and after getting bullied by Aki Adagaki, he decided to transform himself. Cut to high school when he has become slim, studious, and athletic. Now, Aki can’t recognize him.
Thus, Masamune swears that he will make Aki fall in love with him and then reject her so that he can take revenge.
