No matter how great an anime is, the manga will always have its charm. So fans were thrilled when the manga adaptation of The Misfit of Demon King Academy was announced.
The manga is captivating with an impeccable artstyle, all thanks to the artist, Kayaharuka. But soon, all of their joy came to a halt when the manga announced its indefinite hiatus.
However, the situation is still bad, and as a result, the franchise has discontinued the manga.

Square Enix’s Manga Up! magazine released the statement of suspension of the manga. Furthermore, it was stated that Kayaharuka was hospitalized due to pancreatic cancer.
This led to the indefinite hiatus and the eventual cancellation of the manga. However, fans everywhere have been more concerned about the artist’s health than the suspension of the manga.
The artist has stated that working on manga is something they will always treasure. They also mentioned that they regret ending the manga this way.
However, we cannot afford to selfishly worry about the manga and can only hope Kaya gets well soon.
The manga was a phenomenal piece of work that was loved by fans a lot. The design and action sequences were so well drawn that they captivated so many.
The manga’s last chapter showed us an epic battle between the protagonist, Anos Voldigoad, and his fated rival, Lay Glanzudlii. Though it was just friendly sparring, both of them ended up deforming the landscape.
It is sad to see such an incredible manga ending like this, but nothing is more important than human life.
We wish for Kayaharuka’s speedy recovery and hope he can get back to their life all healthy again!
