The Duke of Death and His Maid’s protagonist, our very own anime Midas has it worse than us all. Cursed by a witch, the young Duke, Bocchan gains the unwanted power to kill everything he touches.
Deep in the forests, shunned by his family, his only friend is his maid, Alice. While it sounds cliche, this manga made its way on every weebs’ “favorite manga” list, and an anime adaptation started airing from the 4th of July!!
To celebrate the recent release of the anime, manga creators of Detective Conan, Hayate the Combat Butler, Dagashi Kashi, Flame of Recca, and others submitted illustrations for the series!
The mangaka that contributed for the above are Kotoyama, Shotan, Abe Tsukasa, Gosho Aoyama, Nekoguchi, Kenjiro Hata and Anzai Nobuyuki. I guess that’s one way of celebrating the newly released series!
Up till now, only four episodes have been released and the next one will be releasing on the 1st of August.
In the latest episode of The Duke of Death and His Maid, Alice and the Duke take a step forward in their relationship while enjoying a romantic boat ride and a lively festival!
But, an unexpected encounter with a lady who addressed Alice by her mom’s name left fans confused and developing theories for the upcoming episode 4.
Was the lady the witch who cursed the Duke? Does Alice’s mother have something to do with the curse? Episode 4 may answer some of our questions, and it’s available on Funimation now!

About The Duke of Death and His Maid
The Duke of Death and His Maid is a 2017 supernatural manga by Koharu Inoue. The manga was serialized on Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry website and finished its run in May 2022.
The story revolves around a young duke named Bocchan who was cursed by a witch in his childhood. His curse can kill anything he touches, making him completely isolated from his loved ones to save their lives. He lives in a mansion on his own but is accompanied by his maid and butler.
He has quite the relationship with his maid Alice and the two grow closer throughout the story.
