The author of My Status as an Assassin manga, Hiroyuki Aigamo, was recently diagnosed with endometrial cancer. Ever since last October, the manga has been on a hiatus due to the mangaka’s health.

My Status as An Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s manga will continue its ongoing hiatus as Hiroyuki Aigamo updated fans about her current condition.

Long time no see. This is a duck.

More than half a year has passed since the “Notice of Rest,” and the number of messages of concern has increased.

Aigamo opened up about her fight with the disease in a recent tweet thread while updating us about her improving condition. She informed fans that she went through surgery in January and has improved a lot since then.

We hope that Aigamo puts herself first and makes a full recovery before continuing work. The fans are more than happy as long as their favorite mangaka is fine.

We often forget that another human being is writing the manga we love and that they need rest too. There have been so many cases of artists and authors getting into life-threatening situations to deliver to the fans.

We do not want another case like that. We wish for a speedy recovery for Aigamo and urge her to take as much time as she wants to recover.
