According to  recently revealed details, the anime will be set in “Space Nagoya.” It is about Spaceman X, an otaku who loves mecha. His girlfriend is in an odd situation as only her soul is alive in a device, but her body has perished.

The protagonist aims to restore Patricia’s body, but his only way to earn money is by space racing. Participants race in giant robots that resemble various insects.

Character designs for the main characters have also been revealed. Jennifer is a 32-year-old widow who uses the mobile of her passed-away husband to race.

All the characters have their own reasons to race in the series, but for Spaceman X, his wife’s life is on the line. Pierre Ito’s previous franchise, Mouseman, has been a huge success, and I hope the upcoming series can follow in its footsteps.
