Whoever thought that sending a talking lizard to warn the hero was a good idea, definitely didn’t think it through because our high schooler protagonist’s first reaction was to send it flying out the window.

With an unlikely hero and an even more unlikely heroine, the Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer anime is scheduled to debut on July 8, 2022.

Satoshi Mizukami, the series’ creator, has commented that the anime will cover the whole manga. Since the manga has a total of 65 chapters, there is a high chance that the anime will receive two cours to completely adapt it.

At the very beginning of the video, you can see Yuuhi, who is still reeling from the fact that a lizard can talk. So, of course, when a monster confronts him, he freezes up.

Thank God that the girl next door is bizarrely strong and comes to his rescue. This rag-tag team is now on a mission to save the world, right after they figure out how to take extended leave from school.

Studio NAZ is animating Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer, and it has previously created Sabikui Bisco. I have high hopes for this series especially since I’m a huge fan of comedy.

Can the upcoming anime be able to preserve the gag scenes from the manga? Or will it remain just another attempt at comedy gone wrong?

About Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer

1Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer by Satoshi Mizukami was serialized from 2005-2010. It will receive an anime adaptation in July 2022.

The plot features Yuuhi, a teenager who wakes up to find a lizard talking to him. This weird lizard informs him that he has been chosen as a magic knight to help save the Earth.

Although sceptical at first, he agrees to do what is needed after realizing that he needs to help a princess who turns out to behis neighbor.
