Love Me, Love Me Not Anime Film Releases Brand New Trailer

Io Sakisaka, the author of Love Me, Love Me Not manga, is an expert on the genre of romance among teenagers and young adults. Her works, “Strobe Edge,” “Aoha Ride,” and “Love Me, Love Me Not” makeup the youth romance trilogy.

Love Me, Love Me Not explores the raw, passionate love of the youth. Their journey of self-discovery through love is portrayed beautifully by the manga, which will be available as an anime movie soon.

TOHO Animation has released an official trailer for the Love Me, Love Me Not movie on their Youtube channel.

Love Me, Love Me Not Trailer

The trailer probes into the lives of four high school students who become interconnected with each other.

Through the trailer, we get a glimpse of Akari, Yuna, Rio, and Kazuomi going through the hassles of life while simultaneously discovering who their heart wants.

The trailer is accompanied by the theme song “Gravity” performed by the Japanese rock band, Bump Of Chicken. The song beautifully matches the tempo of the anime and its lovey-dovey feelings.

Love Me, Love Me Not will be releasing in Japan on 18th September. It will have a runtime of 103 minutes. Toshimasa Kuroyanagi (Shonen Hollywood – Holly Stage for 49) has directed the film at A-1 Pictures (Blue Exorcist).

The advance theatre tickets for the Love Me, Love Me Not movie will be available from 14th August, on the same day as the theatre release of the live-action adaptation.

A limited-edition calendar will be given to those who book the advance tickets. The calendar contains an illustration of the characters from the “Youth Trilogy” series.

About Love Me, Love Me Not

Love Me, Love Me Not is a manga by Io Sakisaka that began serialization in Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret from June 13, 2015.

The story revolves around Yuna Ichihara, who is about to enter her first year of high school and doesn’t want to be separated from her best friend Sacchan, who is moving away.

One day on her way to the train station, she gets stopped by a random girl who asks her for money to pay her train fare. The girl gives Yuna her bracelet as a promise to pay her back tomorrow.

The girl reveals herself to be Akari and returns Yuna her money. They head home together only to find out that they live in the same apartment building and become friends.

However, they soon find out Yuna may be in love with Akari’s brother and Akari in love with Yuna’s childhood friend.
