Kyoto Animation Announces Winter Music Festival After Four Years’ Wait

Kyoto Animation is known for its quality anime movies and fantastic stories. Credited for works such as Violet Evergarden and A Silent Voice, it has established itself as a significant player in the slice of life and seinen genre.

KyoAni is beloved by the fans, who show support for the studio through thick and thin and had even raised a hefty amount to donate to the studio. Thus the studio organized a “KyoAni Thanks Events” to appreciate its fandom.

The last thanks event was held four years ago, but the wait since 2017 has finally been rewarded!

Recently, Kyoto Animation just announced the first-ever “KyoAni Music Festival,” with the theme of inspiration for Future. The music festival is set to go live from 20th to 21st November at Rohm Theatre, Kyoto.

Kyoto Animation has carried out various activities such as exhibitions, talk shows, orchestra, and brass band concerts, but this year it will be a Live Music fest for all its fans.

The small teaser that was released emphasizes that it’s a live music festival, a sign that Japan is coming out of the pandemic. The event is also a beacon for many anime fans who could not attend any fan events in 2020.

With 2021 midway through, hopes are high for many more events like this.

Fans expect performances by True, Aiko, and The Who as they were the singers behind theme songs for Violet Evergarden, A Silent Voice, and previous KyoAni works.

The last “Thanks” event was scheduled for 2019; however, due to the infamous Kyoto Arson case, the event was replaced with memorial services for those who passed away. Additionally, no event was scheduled in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Kyoto Animation will announce the availability of tickets, guests, performances, and more at a later date, and we will keep you informed of any updates.

With such a unique experience planned out for the audience, this music festival is sure to be the biggest anime event in Winter!
