Konosuba’s Spin-off Manga Slated to End This June 2020

All fans of series, be it manga or anime face a common dilemma. While they are eager to know how it ends, they also hate parting with their favorite series which they had been following for months or even years. They wish for it to be prolonged so that they can cherish it more.

We all know the end result of this dilemma – the temptation of knowing how the story ends is too strong, and we end up finishing the story.

While we are on the topic of endings, Zoku Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Bakuen o! manga is going to end. This was stated in the August of Monthly Comic Alive magazine by Kadokawa on Wednesday, 27th May. The manga will end in the next issue of the magazine, which will be released on 27th June.

The manga created by Kasumi Morino is a sequel to Konosuba: An Explosion on this Wonderful World, which was also a work by Morino. Both the manga adapt the light novels of the same name written by Natsume Akatsuki which were spinoff novels to his main light novel series, Konosuba – God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!

Morino released the sequel manga series in January 2018 in the Monthly Comic Alive magazine by Kadokawa. Last September, Kadokawa published the 3rd compiled book of the manga. The first manga was also released in Monthly Comic Alive magazine in 2016 and has 5 compiled books.

About Konosuba – God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!

The original light novel was written and launched by Akatsuki along with illustrations by Kurone Mishima back in 2013. The series ended on 1st May 2020 with its 17th volume. He released the spinoff series Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! In 2014 and ended in 2015 with 3 volumes.

Yen Press releases both the original and the spinoff novel series and manga adaptations in English. The novels also inspired 2 TV anime seasons and an anime film.

After an embarrassing and untimely death, Kazuma Sato, a Japanese teenager who was unemployed and isolated, meets a goddess Aqua. She offers to reincarnate him in a parallel world where he has superhuman abilities and can go on adventures and battle monsters.

He chooses to bring Aqua with him to the world but soon finds she was just getting in his way. He had to defeat the Devil King to get Aqua back to her own world, and so he recruits 2 more members to form a party, Megumin, an explosion obsessed magician and a crusader named Darkness.
