The scenario is going to change pretty soon, as a second season has not only been confirmed but new teasers have also been revealed for it.

Season 2 of KanColle, titled KanColle: Itsuka Ano Umi de, is set to air in November 2022.

The anime will reportedly receive only eight episodes in its second season. Crunchyroll might stream the upcoming part just like season 1.

The much-anticipated announcement was accompanied by new trailers and visuals that you can take a peek at right here:

The teaser takes on a somber tone with multiple shots of the fleet girls. Still, the next season’s plot isn’t quite clear from just this.

You can expect the Nishimura Fleet to play a key component in the upcoming episodes. The WW2 Battle of Surigao Strait might also be portrayed.

I would advise you not to expect historical accuracy from the anime and just focus on the action-packed and moving storyline.

Season 2 of KanColle will receive eight episodes instead of the usual 11-13 since the production house wanted to maintain the quality of the anime while delivering compact episodes.

Studio ENGI has taken over the animation production from Studio Diomedea.

I hope that season 2 introduces some new and exciting characters while also keeping in mind Fubuki’s development.
