‘Kaguya-sama: Love is War’ Manga to End its Epic Romance in October

Romance is just as much about brains as it is about love, and Kaguya-sama: Love is War took it way too seriously.

In the manga’s last chapter, while everyone was trying to give Shirogane an emotional send-off to America, Kaguya just had to overdo it. She overslept and missed Miyuki’s farewell at the airport but then got on a first-class flight to California, all while crying (rich people, amirite?).

Unfortunately, the gags and romance are now coming to an end.

Shueisha’s Young Jump magazine’s 31st issue has revealed that Kaguya-sama: Love is War manga will conclude in the next fourteen chapters in October.

There will be no delays or breaks until the story is finished. It entered the final arc in October 2021, and exactly a year from that, it will be wrapping up this epic love story.

It’s kind of confusing because Shirogane has just left for his studies abroad, and we’re yet to see more of it. Don’t we all want to know how the couple tackles their long-distance relationship or witness their cute moments in California when Shinomiya visits her boyfriend?

I think Akasaka will probably introduce a time skip showing their graduation and Shirogane’s return in the last few chapters. The graduation will definitely hit hard because it would mean tying loose ends and saying goodbyes.

As much as it saddens us all because no matter how monotonous the chapters used to get at times, we loved seeing the main couple’s battle of brains and the occasional kawaii moments.

This also opens up loads of speculation for the anime. Will there be more seasons? Or a movie? Let us know what you think.

About Kaguya-sama: Love is War

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War is a Japanese seinen manga series written and illustrated by Aka Akasaka. It began serialization in Shueisha’s Miracle Jump in May 2015 and was transferred to Weekly Young Jump in March 2016.

Student council president Miyuki Shirogane and vice-president Kaguya Shinomiya appear to be the perfect couple. Still, both are too proud to confess their love and scheme to make the other confess their love first.
