The introduction of the third-year students in recent chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen brought a possibility of turning the tables around. Ever since the Shibuya incident, things have not been going well for our protagonists.
But the third-years of Jujutsu High posed a tricky situation as they’re not on good terms with the school. Hakari Kinji is an infamous name among the staff and students for violent behavior, which led to his suspension.
Along with Hakari, chapter 153 also introduced another third-year student called Kirara Hoshi. His prowess was shrouded in mystery, that is until the latest chapter.
Jujutsu Kaisen manga chapter 156 brought Kirara’s cursed energy technique to light. His technique is named ‘Love Rendezvous’ (Interstellar Flight), and we’re here to tell you everything about it.
It took Megumi some experimenting and brainstorming before he figured out that Kirara’s technique is based on a constellation. It uses The Southern Cross constellation as a motif, so naturally, if you’re not interested in stars, you’d be easily beaten by Kirara.
To explain it simply, Kirara marks cursed energy with a star sign and a name in front of it. Those marked with the stars need to follow a particular order to get close to each other, or else the marked entities will repel each other.
Another aspect of it is that objects marked with the same star and name will attract each other. But if a person can figure out the order between the stars, Kirara can be easily defeated without a sweat.
The whole chapter explained this and resulted in Megumi and Panda’s victory as they suppressed Kirara. Now they can easily have a peaceful conversation with the rebellious third-years….or that’s what I hope can happen.
Even though we got to see Kirara’s technique and Gege’s epic creativity in it, we were still left at a cliffhanger on Itadori and Hakari’s fight. Itadori inadvertently revealed he’s from Jujutsu Tech, and that was enough for Hakari to not listen to him at all.
Moreover, if Kirara and Hakari join Itadori and company then there’s a good possibility that Gojo sensei can be unsealed. But for that, we need to get over the current obstacles and convince both of them.
I doubt that this is going to be easy.
