Matt Reeves’ Batman movie seems to be progressing at a steady pace. The cast of the untitled Batman film is slowly taking shape, and there are numerous updates on the supporting cast of the film.
Jeffrey Wright will be playing the Commissioner Jim Gordon, Zoe Kravitz will be the new Catwoman. Alfred Pennyworth will be played by Andy Serkis. And now, John Turturro will play Carmine Falcone.
Warner Bros. still has a large no. of crucial roles to fill, specifically The Penguin, with rumours suggesting that Seth Rogen has emerged as the new frontrunner. Dano is our new Riddler. Batman fans have reacted positively to the news, citing the actor’s standout performances across There Will Be Blood, Swiss Army Man, and the Denis Villeneuve-directed crime drama, Prisoners.
The recent addition to the cast
The most recent name to join the cast of Batman, is The Big Lebowski star, John Turturro. This sweetens the deal even more, but his role in the movie is a total surprise and unexpected. He will be playing Carmine “The Roman” Falcone, a Batman nemesis.

There are no clues about the plot of the movie and how things are going to play out for Carmine Falcone, but his presence feels good.

The new Batman movie finally seems to be moving forward, with the famed vampire Robert Pattinson playing the ‘bat’ this time. The director Matt Reeves has finished the script and early rumours are that Batman will be a 30-year old character, with no focus on the origin story. The movie is going to be a detective Batman story and will connect to the DCEU in a limited way. As for the villains, Penguin, The Riddler, and Catwoman and Carmine “The Roman” Falcone are confirmed.
