Did Jason Momoa just confirm Ben Affleck’s Batman cameo in Aquaman 2?

Jason Momoa has confirmed with a BTS look from the sets of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom that Ben Affleck’s Batman will return in the upcoming sequel. It seems like his role will either be a small cameo or more. Want to know all about it? Keep reading!

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, releasing in theaters on March 17, 2023, will be the sequel to the 2018 film, which dived deep into the DCEU’s water-themed superhero, Aquaman. The hero has come a long way since his first appearance in the 2017 film Justice League, and his sequel will only bring more dangerous adventures for the Atlantean King.

The film stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm Marius, Dolph Lungren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna.

And now another DCEU hero will be joining Momoa’s Aquaman in the 2023 sequel. Jason Momoa posted two images with Ben Affleck at the Warner Bros Studios on his Instagram, where a tour group had caught the two of them on the Aquaman 2 set.

Other than that, Momoa also shared a video where he states that the secret is out now and then captures Ben Affleck in his trailer in Bruce Wayne attire in the video.

Of course, it’s public knowledge that Ben Affleck is also set to appear in the 2023 film The Flash starring Ezra Miller’s lightning-speed superhero who was introduced alongside Aquaman in Justice League (2017).

Ben Affleck definitely has a more in-depth role in The Flash, but maybe his appearance in the Aquaman sequel will set up his story in The Flash? Only time will tell.

After the SnyderVerse, Ben Affleck’s Batman and Henry Cavill’s Superman were seemingly shelved from future DCEU projects. Henry Cavill’s Superman has not made any appearances since, except for the rumored cameo in the 2022 film Black Adam. But it looks like Ben Affleck’s Batman is still very much involved with the DCEU, with two confirmed appearances now.

With the revival of Michael Keaton’s Batman and his addition to the DCEU, we still do not know if Ben Affleck’s Batman will play any big roles in the DCEU. But for now, he seems to be involved in the superhero universe.

About Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. It will be a sequel to 2018’s Aquaman and will see the return of the titular character, aka Arthur Curry.

Not much has been revealed about the plot but based on the title, the film could focus on the Seven Kingdoms of Atlantis. Six of the seven kingdoms were united by Aquaman in the first film’s finale. The seven kingdoms include Atlantis, Xebel, Fisherman, Brine, Trench, Deserters, and a lost seventh kingdom called Necrus.

James Wan will return to direct the sequel and the screenplay will be written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. Cast members include Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II who will be reprising their respective roles. Game of Thrones’ Pilou Asbæk recently joined the sequel’s cast.
