J.J. Abrams May Direct WB’s Justice League Reboot

After the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, J.J Abrams will be jumping from Disney to Warner Bros. Recently, J.J Abrams signed an exclusive new deal with Warner Bros and the studio hopes to put him to work soon. The director has very successfully relaunched the Star Trek for Paramount Studios and Star Wars for Disney Studios and based on that success Warner Bros wants Abrams bring the magic to the DC universe. To make this possible, DC is giving him full liberty in choosing the project he likes.

Apparently Abrams is most interested in rebooting the Justice league. The other two projects he is interested in are another Superman film or a Green Lantern Corps movie.

It is highly unlikely that Abrams will go for all the three projects, but one them is almost certain.

What happened to the previous plans of Warner Bros?

After the critical and financial failure of the Justice League movie and the continuous criticism of the DC and Warner Bros, they are seriously looking to reboot the superhero team. There were reports that the Guardians of the Galaxy and Suicide Squad director James Gunn was their first choice as the director for Justice League reboot but now it looks like Abrams is the likely choice.

The Superman movies or potential upcoming sequel we are told, will no longer feature Henry Cavill who is done playing the role. The Green Lantern Corps movie has been dormant for a long time, but now it may get some life. There are rumors that Tom Cruise is being eyed for the role of Hal Jordan.

Abrams is an innovative director and hopefully he will re-invent the lost DC movie universe. They can do with all the help they can get.
