Is Boruto a Jinchuriki? Will he Get The Nine-Tails?

Boruto getting the Nine-Tails and becoming a Jinchuriki is a possibility that many fans are entertaining at this point in time.

Stemming from two strong bloodlines, Boruto has prodigious talent. He is able to learn techniques quickly and can accomplish anything he attempts.

He is deemed to be far beyond his years, having mastered various jonin-level feats despite his young age.

Since the beginning of the series, it has already been established that Boruto is far stronger than Naruto when he was this age, and that is without considering his Jougan and Karma seal.

However, because he possesses such power at a mere age of 12, fans are starting to wonder whether he is a Jinchuriki like Naruto.

Boruto is not a Jinchuriki, as he does not have any tailed beast sealed within him.

After the fourth shinobi war, all the beasts regained their freedom and went their separate ways, except the Eight and Nine-Tails, who voluntarily remained with Killer Bee and Naruto.

1. Who Will Get The Nine-Tails After Naruto’s Death?

Naruto will die at some point, and that is something every fan will have to accept. The question that arises, though, is who will get the Nine-Tails after his death.

Since there are certain criteria for becoming a Jinchurki, such as chakra quantity, control, and bloodline power, there are two viable candidates.

2. Boruto

Boruto will not get the Nine-Tails because he already possesses something unique to him, i.e., Jougan and Karma.

The series will be more about how he develops his powers, rather than getting Kurama and becoming Naruto version 2.

In the very first scene of the Boruto series, where Boruto and Kawaki faced off, we saw the former wearing Sasuke’s cloak, headband, and even wielding his sword.

As the series progressed, Sasuke’s influence on Boruto started increasing, and now it is to the point where he wants to become a shinobi like his mentor.

After seeing Boruto’s connection to Sasuke, and his possession of Jougan and Momoshiki’s Karma , which already makes him special, it is possible that the writers want to separate Boruto from his father’s shadow.

Giving him the Nine-Tails, i.e., Kurama would only serve to defeat that purpose.

3. Himawari

Himawari will not get the nine-tails as Naruto would not burden his children.

However, even if Kurama is not sealed within her, she can form a contract with him and use his power in that manner.

Himawari is in her own league, already scaring the wits out of her brother, Boruto, and even the mighty Naruto and Kurama.

She has inherited both her skills and Byakugan from Hinata and has already awakened it. However, she is still too young to even attend the academy, let alone reach her full potential.

However, fans of the series feel like it won’t be long before she unleashes her power. Furthermore, if Himawari gets the Nine-Tails, she will be unstoppable.

Nevertheless, it is unlikely for this to come true, as Naruto will not let his children suffer the same way he did before.

Additionally, it is entirely up to Kurama, who might choose freedom rather than getting sealed once again.

However, Himawari not getting the Nine-Tails does not mean that she won’t be able to use its power. Due to Kurama’s close bond with Naruto, it is unlikely for him to leave his children to fend for their own.

While he may not be sealed within Himawari, he might enter a summoning contract with her.

I mean, can you imagine Himawari summoning the god damn Nine-Tails? The look on the opponent’s face is something I must witness before death.

4. Should There Even Be A Jinchurki After Naruto?

After Naruto fought to help the tailed beasts regain their freedom, they are at peace for the first time since the Sage of the Six Paths.

Only Kurama and Gyuuki voluntarily remain sealed, but even they might choose to go on their own ways after Naruto and Killer Bee’s death.

Furthermore, with the shinobi alliance in place, there is no need to maintain a power balance, which automatically negates the need to have a Jinchurki.

The new abilities and powers we are seeing in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, such as Karma, and Jougan, are refreshing and separate the show from the Naruto series.

In the end, the entire concept of Jinchurki died after the war, and there’s no need to introduce it again.
