This holiday season is about to be good if you are a Hyperdimension Neptunia fan. Whether you crave for another game this year or just want to watch the anime; everyone’s getting what they want.
Although there isn’t a full anime season like many of you may have wanted, there’s little something to keep you going while we wait for that.
The official website for Hyperdimension Neptunia anime has announced an original video animation titled “Thanksgiving Full of NepuNepu.” The OVA will be released around November 25, 2021.

A new shooting game titled “TOP NEP” and a full-scale figure “Dimensional Traveler Neptunia Generator Unit Version” were also announced. The figure prototype will be displayed at One Hobby 34 from October 2 to October 10, 2021.
Despite the pandemic, the Neptunia franchise has been pretty consistent with it’s video game releases. Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars was just released earlier this month, so it’s surprising to see that a new game was announced so soon.
As you would expect from a Hyperdimension Neptunia OVA, it will not be anything devastating like the world of Gamindustri falling into ruins. If we go by the last Summer themed OVA, it will probably just be Neptune and others hanging around a Thanksgiving dinner; not like anyone’s complaining.
Still, it’s great to see the anime make a comeback, no matter how small it might be. It took two years to get an OVA and four before that.
This will probably be the only piece of Neptunia anime we will get for a while, so enjoy it while it lasts.

Hyperdimension Neptunia is a series of role-playing video games created and developed by Compile Heart and Idea Factory. It has branched off into a manga, light novel, and anime media franchise series.
The anime takes place in a world called Gamindustri, where its four realms are finally at peace after the fruitless war over Share energy. The source of their strength is based on how much their people have faith in their goddesses, the four CPUs that rule over them have finally signed a friendship treaty. The treaty bans any attempt at claiming Share energy through military force.
Neptune, the CPU Goddess of Planeptune, spends her time goofing off and playing games rather than doing her job, leaving her land’s Shares plummeting. The anime follows Neptune and her friends trying to regain those lost shares.
