Hunter×Hunter has inspired two anime series – the first series aired from 1999-2001, and the second one aired from 2011-2014. The Nippon animation studio produced the first anime series while studio Madhouse presented the second.

The second anime series doesn’t start the story from where the OVA of the first series ended; instead, it starts the story from the beginning of the manga.

Crunchyroll provided English subtitled simulcasts of the episodes in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other countries while it premiered in Japan.

The anime is directed by Hiroshi Kojina, and the script is written by Atsushi Maekawa and Tsutomu Kamishiro. It aired on Nippon TV, and Viz Media later licensed it for North America.
