How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast) is a comedy-drama web television series co-created by Philipp Käßbohrer and Matthias Murmann. Its first season released on the 31st of May,, 2019 with six episodes on Netflix.

1. Premiere date and Highlights
Netflix has already renewed the series for a second season! It was confirmed by production company BTF on Twitter. The series is set to premiere on the 21st of July, 2020.
Renewing the series shows Netflix’s continued interest in expanding its foreign programming on coming-of-age teen shows. One of the reasons behind this is the success of Sex Education and The End of the F***ing World.
The Netflix comedy series is set in Rinseln, Germany. It serves as both a cautionary tale and a coming-of-age story that shows just how quickly a group of kids can get in over their heads, and spiral out of control.
After roughly a year-long wait for its second season, the series is set to take over from where its predecessor left off, when Moritz and his friends discover the consequences of their dangerous business.
2. Series Overview and Cast
Interestingly, the show is based on a real-life event. The Shiny Flakes case took place in Leipzig in 2015 and has been inspiration for the show’s creators.
Käßbohrer and Murmann told Variety Magazine in an interview “When we first heard about a young computer nerd successfully selling drugs for bitcoins in an Amazon-like store on the Internet, we were pretty excited immediately.”
In the adapted version, we meet Moritz, a 17-year-old high school teen. He sets up the biggest online drug store in Europe, with the help of his wheelchair-ridden buddy Lenny. But what inspires him to get on with this idea?
His girlfriend dumps him for the school drug dealer. How does he plan to get her back? Sell better drugs. He begins by selling ecstasy on the darknet, which soon progresses to include drugs of all varieties.
However, when the business expands, it comes with its repercussions. This includes threats and competition from other sellers and of course, the constant fear of getting caught.
The cast of the series consists of Maximilian Mundt as Moritz Zimmermann, Danilo Kamber as Lenny Sander, Anna Lena Klenke as Lisa, Damian Hardung as Dan, Luna Baptiste Schaller as Gerda, Leonie Wesselow as Fritzi, and Bjarne Mädel as Buba.

On the 23rd of June, 2020, Netflix released a rather bizarre trailer for the series’ upcoming season. The trailer depicts the entire operation spiraling out of control to become something much bigger than its creators.
The trailer for Season 2 shows Moritz being lauded by his friends and peers for being a complete genius. It also shows many people eager to take revenge. Will they survive the constant hounding?

5. Expected Plot
The storyline is expected to pick up right where it left off in season 1. In this season, however, they get more carried away with their drug dealing, until it slips away from them.
