Who Is Boro in Boruto And Can He Fight on Par With Koji?

Remember the good old times when shounen protagonists are completely thrown off guard by the crazy God-tier villains, and then our protagonist would get their background music, and the scene would take a 180 turn? Something similar is about to happen in Boruto.

A new stronger, despicable villain named Boro is about to be introduced soon in the anime. The fans cannot wait for the scene to be animated.

The hype for it makes complete sense because the nail-biting and jaw-dropping atmosphere is enough to satisfy your inner action geek. You might be wondering who is Boro, and is he strong enough to make our leads realize that doomsday is near?

SPOILERS AHEAD! This page contains spoilers from Boruto.

1. How Strong Is Boro?

Boro is the newest mini villain of the Boruto series. He won’t have much screen time in the future arcs as he only appears for that specific dimensional fight. The new Team 7 needed to destroy Boro to save Naruto, who is trapped inside a capsule by Jigen.

However, eradicating Boro will be a difficult task in future episodes as he is crazy strong. His power levels make complete sense as he is a part of Kara’s innermost group.

Kawaki mentions he’s a bigger threat than Jigen since he’s a walking talking virus disperser. I’m not even kidding; his scientific ninja tools can generate a dark mist that’s filled with viruses. 2020 has made it clear no jutsu can save us from those tiny creatures.

Even plunging holes into his body doesn’t work as he is a regenerative monster; the dude regenerates like a start fish.

Amado’s reconstructions made his body withstand any form of mutilation or decapitation. Boro can also absorb jutsu, and even Mitsuki’s snake venom could not scratch him.

Leaving his physical strength and extraordinary abilities aside, Boro is cunning and calculative, making the situation worse.

After many trials and errors, our leads could remove his core that gave him the amplified abilities; however, that didn’t work as well. He became a real mutant monster.

Things soon went haywire as Boro became even more dangerous than before.  I wouldn’t spoil much, but had it not been for the possessed Boruto, Team 7 would have lost their lives.

2. How Strong Is Koji & Can Boro Defeat Him?

Koji is Jiraya’s clone made by Amado. Just like the original genetic source, Koji is an exceptional fighter. He could easily beat Konohamaru Sarutobi in the previous episodes of the anime. Moreover is one of the Shinobi who can use Rasengan.

Koji is presumably the second strongest person in Kara. In the later chapters of the manga, he mentions that defeating Delta wouldn’t be hard.

Although Boro is a part of the inner circle, if we consider Koji’s raw abilities, Boro cannot defeat him. Koji’s True Flame Samadhi will overpower Boro’s regenerative skills.

As he is a part of Kara, he knows Boro’s true powers rely on the core. With Koji’s excellent analytical skills, he can quickly figure out its location and destroy it with the help of enhanced speed and stealth.

Let’s be real here no matter how strong Boro is and how much of a hard time he gave the main characters; he is nowhere near the level of Koji.

3. Can Koji Defeat Jigen?

Before we talk about this, let’s make few things clear. First, Jigen was initially a human monk who got possessed by Isshiki a long time back; they have merged to the extent wherein Jigen no longer has control over his consciousness. He’s basically a body that functions for Isshiki.

Second, as I mentioned earlier, Koiji is Jiraya’s clone, so he can utilize the same amount of power that Jiraya once did. Amado modified him with his scientific knowledge, which amplified his abilities to a tremendous level.

Koji is a competent individual who was created to fight Isshiki Otsutsuki. But that alone cannot grant him the necessary strength to fight Jigen or, rather, Isshiki.

It’s highly possible that Koji can fight the human Jigen; however, Jigen is no longer a human. He has become a vessel of Isshiki. Isshiki has control over his body and mind, which would mean that if he were to fight Jigen, Koji would ultimately fight the Otsutsuki inside him.

Sparing with Isshiki is no joke as he holds up an immense amount of power; his signature technique can shrink himself and the molecules of nonliving beings.

So most of the attacks would be useless on him. He can also store the objects into a dimensional space and summon them whenever needed.

Koji cannot win the fight against Isshiki; he barely manages to escape from the situation alive after meeting the transformed Isshiki.  In the manga, Koji could burn Jigen’s human body, but it served only as a medium to reveal the real form of Isshiki.

Amado later revealed that Koji was not created to triumph over Isshiki but rather to distract him and bring out his true form.

Nevertheless, we have to agree that the power scaling this time is completely chaotic Boro, Koji, and Jigen/Isshiki are super scary people, and it’s perfect. Let me tell you guys, this fight will be worth watching, and I’m already losing my wits due to the rising anticipation.
