Here’s What is Coming to Disney+ from the MCU

It looks like Disney+ is all set to embrace the Marvel magic with eleven upcoming shows based on the Marvel comics. MCU president Kevin Feige shared the details of all the shows that are coming to the streaming platform in the future. While some of these shows had already been announced, some are new additions to the list.  

Since timelines are so important in the Marvel movies, we made a timeline of our own with the upcoming shows:

WandaVision: The first series of the MCU, WandaVision is a continuation of the momentous events of Avengers: Endgame. The series will revolve around Scarlet Witch and Vision as they try to live their simple suburban lives. But soon, they realize that not everything is as it seems. The series is highly awaited since it will supposedly explore the powers of Scarlet Witch, often called the strongest Avenger. It stars Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Kathryn Hahn, Kat Dennings, Teyonah Parris, and Randall Park.

WandaVision premieres on January 15th, 2021.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Another show which picks up after Endgame, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will see Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) team up to protect Captain America’s legacy in a series of global adventures. The series also stars Daniel Brühl, Emily VanCamp, and Wyatt Russell.

The show will premiere on March 19th, 2021.

Loki: The world’s favorite antihero, the God of Mischief, Loki, is coming back with his own show. The eponymously titled series will revolve around the Norse god’s adventures as he tries to step out of his brother’s shadow. Loki features Tom Hiddleston as the titular character, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard. E. Grant also star.

Loki is set to premiere in May 2021.

What If…?: The first animated series by MCU, What If…? reimagines some of the famous events from the films in unexpected ways. The series features a voice cast that will include actors who will reprise their roles from the movies.

What If…? will premiere in summer 2021.

Hawkeye: The archer from the Avengers gets to show just how essential he is in his own show. The series will follow Hawkeye partnering with another well-known archer from the comics, Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld). Jeremy Renner, Vera Farmiga, Fra Free and others star in the show.

Hawkeye will premiere in late 2021.

Ms. Marvel: MCU’s first Asian hero, Ms. Marvel focuses on Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old Pakistan-American girl who is an avid gamer and a Captain Marvel fan. She struggles to fit in with her surroundings when she gets the superpowers of her favorite superhero and she believes all her troubles are over. Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan in the series. Saagar Shaikh, Yasmeen Fletcher, Matt Lintz and others also star in this series.

Ms. Marvel is scheduled to debut in late 2021.

Armor Wars: Many of the films after Endgame have revolved around how the world is protecting Tony Stark’s legacy after his death. Continuing in the same theme, Armor Wars will have James Rhodes/ War Machine deal with the consequences of Tony’s tech falling into the wrong hands.

No premiere date has been announced for the show yet.

Ironheart: A part of the new shows announced by the MCU, Ironheart will follow Riri Williams, a genius scientist and inventor, who builds the most advanced weapon suit since Tony Stark’s Iron Man. The series stars Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams.

A premiere date for the show has not been announced yet.

Moon Knight: This action-adventure series will revolve around a vigilante with Dissociative Identity Disorder. The multiple identities of the vigilante appear against the backdrop of Egyptian iconography.

The show has no premiere date yet.

Secret Invasion: Nick Fury returns to kick some aliens in the back in this recently announced show. The agent will fight the Skrulls, shape-shifting aliens introduced in the Captain Marvel movie, who have been secretly invading the Earth for years. Samuel. L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn star in the show.

No premiere date has been decided yet.

She-Hulk: A comedy series, She-Hulk will revolve around Jennifer Walters, an attorney who takes superhuman-oriented cases. The series is supposed to feature many heroes from the original comics, including The Hulk and The Abomination. Tatiana Maslany, Mark Ruffalo, and Tim Roth star.

The show has no premiere date.
