Given Film Premiers On August 22, New PV Released

Given is a manga/anime series based on the shonen-ai (boy’s love) genre. Skillfully incorporating music and romance in the plot, the series became quite popular in a short amount of time.

The precariously set relationship between Mafuyo and Ritsuoka and Haruki and Akihiko are praised by critics and fans alike. The anime film adaptation of Given was initially supposed to air in May 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic.

The new release date for the Given film has been decided as August 22, 2020.

A new official promotional video of the Given movie has just been released, and it’s stealing the hearts of fans.

The trailer portrays the heartfelt and painful relationship between Haruki and Akihiko, the elder members of the band. Akihiko and his past relationship with Ugetsu will also be reflected upon.

Along with the trailer, the opening theme song of the anime by Sentimilimental has also been released. The song “Only For Us” accompanies the PV.

The film will also be available for streaming on d Anime Store, Netflix, U-NEXT, Unlimited Anime, and Hikari Tv.

The plot of the film kicks off from the ending of the anime’s episode 11. The original cast of the anime is working on the movie as well. The creators of the anime wish that the viewers of the film will first watch the Given anime to understand the story and deeper aspects of the film.

The film is being produced by studio Blue Lynx instead of Noitamina. Director, Hikaru Yamaguchi, and writer, Yuniko Ayana will be making a comeback for the movie.

Yamaguchi previously commented that the film’s sound could be best experienced in theatres, but of course, precautions against COVID-19 is necessary.

The Given anime is an adaptation of the manga of the same name by Natsuki Kizu.

Ritsuka Uenomiya was losing his love for guitar and everything he liked. However, his impromptu meeting with Mafuyu Sato changed it all.

Mafuyu’s song pierced his heart and made him want to find his love all over again. Both of them have unresolved pasts, so how will they help each other overcome it?
