Ghost Rider show on Hulu stands cancelled

The post Endgame era is bringing massive changes into the MCU and we hear something new every day. Phase Four and Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is in progress and Disney+ the online streaming will launch soon. One side of the MCU we are not talking about is Hulu.

The Defenders shows on Netflix are probably over, but Marvel was going to deliver some darker and more violent content through the Hulu Network. There were rumours of a Ghost Rider show which would explore the Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider.

Bad luck! The show has reportedly been cancelled. The news website Deadline says that a potential Ghost Rider project has been cancelled. According to them, the “team had reached a creative impasse which could not be resolved, leading to the streamer’s decision not to move forward with the series”. At least that’s the official word. It’s unclear what exactly could’ve happened behind the scenes to bring such a promising project to its end, but it’s certainly a shame.

Fans did not take the news well and venting on Twitter. Ghost Rider is such an iconic anti-hero with loads of potential, and this news brings disappointment.

The relationship between Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige and Marvel Television’s Ike Perlmutter (who’s also CEO of Marvel Entertainment as a whole) is at odds thanks to creative differences with Feige wanting to introduce a more obscure and diverse cast of heroes to the MCU (a philosophy that resulted in mega-hits like Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther), while Perlmutter pushed for more traditional white, male heroes.

The cancellation of Netflix shows and now Ghost Rider is such a shame!
