3. Chapter 57 – Battles abound – Plot

Chapter 57, titled Battles Abound, starts with the Z-fighters pitted against Saganbo’s Galactic Bandit Brigade. The fight starts with Kuririn(Krillin) vs Yunba(the bear-shaped alien).

While it seemed like Yunba easily overpowered Krillin, he shows the true results of his training by defeating Yunba with relative ease.

Next up is Muten Roshi vs. Miza, Iwaza, and Kakiza(the three female convicts). This starts with humor as Muten Roshi cannot draw out his true strength since he is too distracted by the girls and their bosoms.

Their fight is then cut off by another humorous fight between Tenshinhan vs. Bikkura. Tenshinhan is a relatively strong but honorable warrior. So Chaozu defeats Bikkura(a metalman whose only weakness is insults).

The next panel shows Muten Roshi with a cloth around his eyes to stop himself from being distracted. He thus overpowers the three female convicts until they decide to merge! The merged warrior is then too strong to be handled by Krillin and Roshi alone.

Their fight is again cut off by Gohan, Picollo, Android #17 & #18 and the defeated Seven Three and Shimorekka duo.

They are however saved by Moro, who decides to let the earthlings play a little more. Saganbo then steps into the fight with Moro’s power boost and easily beats all the Z-warriors there.

Next few panels show good-for-nothing Yamcha being beaten up AGAIN! Final panels show Krillin’s last stand when he powers up his chi to get Goku’s attention(and he succeeds.)

The chapter ends with Son Goku’s iconic entry(as usual) while he defeats the merged female warrior with a single blow!
