Dr. Stone: Senku’s New Enemy is His Former Mentor!

The Dr. Stone manga is currently cruising through its Truth of the Petrification saga. After several battles in the Kingdom of Science, it has finally reached the point where science has to go against itself.

In order to win, one scientist has to put the other in a checkmate. So who exactly is Senku facing in this arc?

Chapter 155 of Dr. Stone, “Science is Elegant,” reveals the real identity of Dr. Xeno. Dr. Xeno is the scientist who is the leader of a group of survivors in America. He is the main antagonist in the “New America City” arc.

When Luna tasted the ice-cream made by Senku and his team with the help of science, she can’t help but exclaim: “Elegant,” a word most commonly used by Dr. Xeno.

This word jogged Senku’s memory as he suddenly remembered something. He then asks Luna whether Xeno used to be a NASA scientist, and Luna affirms the fact.

As it seems, Dr. Xeno was Senku’s former mentor when he used to be younger. He was apparently the one who used to help Senku with his rocket experiments.

Of course, this leads to a lot of questions like, how did Senku know him? or how did they communicate? and most importantly, does this information put Senku at an advantage?

Dr. Xeno is incredibly skilled, as is visible from his creation of the “Haber Bosch plant” as well as the “Lie Detector machine.”

All these complicated mechanisms had been built from scratch. So Xeno is definitely a formidable enemy who will not be fooled by petty tricks.

On the other hand, we have been following the journey of Senku and his “Kingdom of Science,” and their achievements cannot be looked down upon as well. Their advantage in the battle is surely the revival formula that Xeno has not been able to create yet.

Xeno used to be a mentor to Senku, which just goes on to prove how much of a mental capacity he holds. However, Senku is no longer an elementary school student.

He has also experienced quite a lot of things after being revived. This battle will be neck to neck, with every small factor determining the result. The age-old battle of the master against disciple thus commences!
