Dr. Stone is a Japanese manga, illustrated by Riichiro Inagaki. A blinding green light strikes the Earth and petrifies humankind around the world— turning every human into stone.

Several millennia later, Taiju awakens to find the modern world completely nonexistent. Among a stone world of statues, Taiju encounters one other living human: his science-loving friend Senku.

Taiju learns that Senku has developed a grand scheme—to launch the complete revival of civilization with science. They soon uncover a method to revive those petrified.

However, Senkuu’s master plan is threatened when his ideologies are challenged by those who awaken. All the while, the reason for humanity’s petrification remains unknown.

The English translated raw scans goes like this:

Dr. Stone 160 will be titled, “Science Light,” and in the chapter, Senku will entrust the command to Chrome. It seems like even though Senku’s makeshift bulletproof jacket stopped the assassination, he did suffer some serious injuries.

2. Chapter 160 Discussions and Predictions

Senku gets shot in the previous chapter, not revealing if the bullet pieces passed through the sack or got stuck, ending the chapter on a cliff-hanger.

But the readers have already provided scientific reasons backing Senku’s survival in the upcoming chapter. Since he made a non-Newtonian fluid before the ending panel, and when force is applied to a non-Newtonian fluid, it acts like a solid.

Chapter 160 of the Dr. Stone manga will be released on Sunday, August 2, 2020, at 9:30 am PDT. The title for 160 has not been revealed yet.

Dr. Stone manga is published under Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine, a weekly magazine that comes out every Sunday.

Chapter 160 of the Dr. Stone manga was on a break last week, as almost all Shōnen Jump manga is on a break, in light of ongoing pandemic and Japan’s new public health regulations. It will, however, be continued this week.

I. Target Identified

Chapter 159, titled “Lock On,” begins with Xeno identifying the conniving scientist as Senku and not Taiju, he tells Stanley to change his target.

Xeno listens to the recording he has preserved of Senku’s deductions and calculates Senku’s height by his voice. He gives Stanley Senku’s description, and Stan targets three men fitting it. But before he can act, Ryusui notices the sniper and tells everyone to hide!

Everyone runs in panic, and Stanley gets a proper look at Senku’s face and pinpoints his location; he asks Xeno if he is sure about wanting Senku dead.

II. Will Senku Survive?

Xeno is briefly reminded of their past and knows that the future he wants to build will be unacceptable to Senku. He gives his confirmation, and Stanley aims at the Senku hidden inside the wooden cabin.

At the same time, Senku mixes the powder and dilatant fluid and applies stress on the sack to increase viscosity and make it nearly as solid to block the bullet, a concept researched for bulletproof vests and holds it in front of him.

As Stanley fires the shot, it pierces through the cabin, breaks into pieces, and they hit the sack in front of Senku’s stomach ending the chapter.
