Dr. Stone Chapter 151: Did Senku finally find his true rival?

The entire premise of Dr. Stone revolves around Senku, a teenage scientist, who plans to bring back the second coming of a scientific society after the world had been petrified thousands of years ago.

So far, the story has been straightforward. From nothing to stone tools and iron tools to machinery, we have seen the Kingdom of Science grow little by little with minor setbacks.

Dr. Stone, chapter 151, titled “Z=151: Dr. X”, introduces a very interesting twist in the story. Apparently, in America, there is an evil counterpart of Senku – Dr. Xeno, who wants to get rid of any competition.

In the previous chapter, we saw Senku and the team take down an airplane firing at them. They later salvaged the plane and took it with them. During the chapter, we saw the pilot talking to someone who explained to him how the airplane was taken down (in a similar fashion that Senku explains things).

This chapter reveals that person to be Dr. Xeno, an adult scientist who seems to be an evil counterpart to Senku. After salvaging the airplane, the Kingdom of Science sends out Kohaku, Gen, and Chrome as a small search party to pursue the pilot.

Quickly noticing a trap, Gen advises Chrome and Kohaku to let him journey forward. He “unexpectedly” runs into the pilot, pointing a gun at him.

The pilot then takes Gen to their base (which seems to be better put than Senku’s base). It is there that we are introduced to Dr. Xeno. He looks pretty evil, but that may just be a war-face put on by him to intimidate strangers.

Xeno puts Gen in an improvised Polygraph Test. However, Gen uses his mentalist capabilities to get through it.

Xeno then asks Gen about the leader of their group, and fearing that Senku might be an easy target for them, he lies and says that it’s Dr. Taiju instead!
