However, Draken was always lurking in the shadows of death. No matter how many times Takemichi tried to change the future, Draken was either killed or on the verge of death in every reality.

Draken is killed in almost every timeline. In one timeline, we see him taking gunshots to save Takemichi. Ultimately, however, he is saved by Takemichi and Mikey who manage to stop the events that lead to Draken’s demise.

1. Draken’s Near Death Experience: 3rd August!

During the first few chapters, we learn from Naoto that Draken was stabbed to death on 3rd August. Naoto and Takemichi assume that the death of Draken led to Toman becoming the criminal organization that it is now!

Takemichi owes to change Draken’s fate and transports into the past. He discovers that there is an ongoing brawl between Moebius and Toman. Takemichi assumes that the fight between Moebius and Toman might be the reason for Draken’s death.

However, no such thing happens and instead, Pah-chin stabs Osanai. The police arrive at the scene, and Pah-chin is arrested.

Following this incident, a clash is created between Mikey and Draken. This causes the formation of two factions, the Mikey faction and the Draken faction.

Takemichi is now totally worried as he thinks this internal fight as indicated in the newspaper might lead to Draken’s demise. He somehow manages to end the fight between Mikey and Draken.

Relieved that the crisis is averted, Takemichi and Draken go out to the festival with Hina and Emma respectively. It is soon revealed that the crisis is not averted and Draken is still in danger.

Draken is attacked by Peh-yan and some other members of Moebius who were not happy with how things ended with Pah-chin.

Takemichi discovers that Kiyomasa is planning to kill Draken and confronts him. Kiyomasa and his gang, however, tie Takemichi up before leaving to get their “revenge”.Hina finds Takemichi and gives him the courage to not give him.

He arrives at the fighting site only to discover that Kiyomasa has already stabbed Draken. He tries to carry Draken to a safe place but is found by Kiyomasa and his underlings.Fortunately, Akkun and others arrive in time to save Draken and Takemichi.

Draken is soon put in the ambulance where he suffers from a cardiac arrest. It’s a grave situation and everybody is worried. However, the crisis is averted and Draken pulls through.

2. Draken Ends Up as Death Row Prisoner!

After Takemichi believes that he has saved Hina, Draken and Akkun, he returns to the future. To his surprise, nothing has changed, Hina and Akkun die and Akkun utters the same words as in the past.

He finds out that Draken is still alive, however, he is on death row. Naoto and Takemichi meet him to discover that he has killed a few people on Kisaki’s orders. He also tells Takemichi that he regrets not killing Kisaki.

After this incident, Takemichi decides to become the leader of Toman and jumps back in time. He is strictly against Kisaki joining Toman. Mikey tells Takemichi to bring back Baji if he does not want Kisaki to join Toman.

Soon the Bloody Halloween incident takes place. Takemichi somehow manages to keep Mikey from going haywire and killing Kazutora. He is soon appointed as the leader of Toman’s first division.

However, the crisis is still not averted and Kisaki outsmarts Takemichi. Draken still ends up as a death row prisoner and dies!

3. Draken Dies After Saving Takemichi!

In one of the timelines, a hit was placed on Takemichi when he refused to join the Rokuhara Tandai gang. When Draken learned about the danger lurking over Takemichi, he instantly went to save him.

Draken jumped in front of the bullets to save our crybaby hero without an ounce of hesitation. He took three bullets and even during his last moments, he could only tell Takemichi to help Mikey return to his old self!

His death was officially confirmed by paramedics in Chapter 224. Such a well-written character! Of course, every fan mourned this Hero’s death.

Takemichi Manages to save Draken and Everyone Else!

Takemichi and Mikey were able to return to a time when they were just children and managed to change the course of events that were going to transpire, saving everyone including Draken.

In Chapter 278 of the manga, we can see that everyone is alive and well, including Draken. They are seen celebrating Takemichi and Hina’s wedding. Turns out, Mikey is now a professional racer while Draken is a mechanic for the team.

It was such a roller coaster ride, but well, All’s well that ends well. We are super glad that Draken was able to escape his fate and have his happy ending.
