Demon Slayer manga concluded on May 17, 2020, with its 205th chapter. The series had performed exceedingly well last year and gained a massive readership, along with several titles based on popularity. It looks like even after its conclusion, the series is ranked in best-selling manga lists.

The New York Times’ Graphic Books and Manga best-selling list for June was recently released. Demon Slayer’s 12th volume was 11th on the list.

The compiled 12th volume was released on August 3, 2018. The volume covers the ending of the Entertainment district arc and includes the set-up part of the Swordsmith Village arc.

As Tanjiro broke his sword in the fight against Daki and Gyutaro, he is sent to the swordsmith village to procure a new sword. There he meets with the village leader and few Hashira.

Tanjiro

The volume shows Tanjiro finding out about Yoriichi Type Zero, a mechanical doll created to mimic the fighting style of Yoriichi. After training with Yoriichi Type Zero, Tanjiro accidentally breaks it and finds a sword inside. This sword belonged to Yoriichi himself and is given to Hotaru Haganezuka for repair.

This volume sets up the events of the Swordsmith village arc, which shows the village being attacked by a duo of Upper-rank demons.
