Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Film Gets a Novel Adaptation

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has gathered a lot of fame in a short amount of time. Ever since the anime adaptation of the manga came out, the popularity of the series rose sky-high.

The brand new addition to the Demon Slayer series is the movie, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train.

In this movie, we will get the Tanjiro – Inosuke – Zenitsu trio with the addition of Kyojuro, the Flame Hashira.

The Mugen Train movie is reportedly getting a novel adaptation as well. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train’s novel version will be released on 16th October.

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train novel is being written by Aya Yajima.

Aya Yajima has authored the previous three novels of the series: Flower of Happiness, One Winged Butterfly, and The Wind’s Telltale Signs; she will be returning to write the upcoming light novel.

The Mugen Train movie will premiere on 16th October 2020, and thus, the novel and movie releases will coincide on the same day.

The original story of the novel is by Gotoge Yosei, and the screenplay is by ufotable.

Plot of the Novel

After returning from the rehabilitation training, Tanjiro and the others reach the site for the next mission, the Infinite Train.

Forty people on the train go missing in a short amount of time. Meanwhile, Tanjiro’s group is joined by one of the strongest pillars, the Flame Hashira.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is the direct sequel to the anime series, which aired in 2019. The Mugen Train movie will be distributed by Aniplex and TOHO in Japan.

The Mugen Train arc covers chapters 53 to 69 of the manga. It precedes the arc with the Sound Hashira in the manga.

As the manga ended with chapter 205 in May, fans may have been feeling down, but this new novel is the perfect opportunity to see our favorite characters in a new style and light.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge.

Its publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump began in February 2016 with 19 collected tankōbon volumes released as of present.

In a world filled with demons and demon slayers, Kimetsu no Yaiba follows the lives of two siblings Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado after— the murder of their family at the hands of a demon.

Their hardship does not end there, as Nezuko’s life is spared only for her to live as a demon.

As the oldest sibling, Tanjiro vows to protect and cure his sister.

The story traces the bond of this brother-sister or better yet, demon slayer and demon combo against the odds of an arch antagonist and the society.
