Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Will Be Getting PlayStation 4 Game In 2021

Koyoharu Gotoge’s Demon Slayer was the highest-grossing manga of 2019, beating One Piece for the title after it’s ten-year-long reign.

Tanjiro’s journey as a demon slayer has been the hottest story of the season, but all good things must come to an end. With Tanjiro now in the battle against Kibutsuji Muzan, the curtain will soon be drawn on the story.

Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump’s 16th issue announced that the Demon Slayer manga is getting a PlayStation 4 game, titled “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Kepputan,” in 2021. The game will most likely be an arena fighter game.

Demon slayer chapter 198, titled “The Next Thing We Knew”, was released on 15th March in the 16th issue of the magazine.

The chapter sets up the stage for Muzan’s death with Tanjiro, Ionsuke, and Zenitsu, keeping Muzan under a barrage of successive attacks. They do this to stop any attempt from him to escape before sunlight hits.

Even though most of their attacks are shallow and do no damage to Muzan, he is in pretty bad shape already thanks to Lady Tamayo’s medicine and his fight earlier with Tanjiro and the Demon Slayer corp.

These attacks serve as an immobilizer to stop Muzan from splitting up into different parts and escaping.

The chapter ends with the first ray of sunlight coming from the horizon, implying that Kibutsuji Muzan will be finally defeated in the upcoming chapters.

About Demon Slayer:

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge. Its publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump began in February 2016 with 19 collected tankōbon volumes released as of present.

In a world filled with demons and demon slayers, Kimetsu no Yaiba follows the lives of two siblings Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado. They persisted after a great tragedy — the murder of their family at the hands of a demon. Their hardship does not end there, as Nezuko is barely spared to live as a demon.

As the oldest sibling, Tanjiro vows to protect and cure his sister. The story traces the bond of this brother-sister or better yet, demon slayer and demon combo against the odds of an arch antagonist and the society.
