Kamado Tanjiro’s journey to defeat the Demon King — Kibutsuji Muzan, to bring back humanity for his sister is one of the hottest stories recently.

The story continues hundreds of years after the death of Muzan. We see descendants of Tanjiro and Kanao (they got married) as they live out a normal day of their lives.

The chapter shows many look-alikes (possible re-incarnations) of characters such as Nezuko, Inosuke, Tengen, Kanroji, Iguro, etc.

5. Chapter 205 Speculations/Predictions

Since chapter 205 is the final chapter of the Demon Slayer manga, it is likely to be a bombshell! Chapter 204 ends with a panel of a modern city.

As we know, the story of the Demon Slayer is set in a some-what feudal era. Showing a modern city in the final panel strongly implies a major time-skip in the series. This brings out endless possibilities.

Maybe demons re-emerge in modern-day Japan, perhaps we will see reincarnations of our favorite characters. Or maybe the essence of Muzan has not died out from within Tanjiro, and he makes a comeback, or maybe this was all just Tanjiro’s dream. The only way to find out is to wait for chapter 205 to drop.

Personally, despite how the manga ends, I would love to see some indication that Kanroji and Iguro met again after being reincarnated.

6. Chapter 204 Plot

The chapter starts with color pages and a beautiful color spread. Three months have passed since the victory against Muzan. There were countless sacrifices, and all of them paid off as Muzan’s body withered away in the sunlight. The chapter mainly focuses on the aftermath of this battle.

We see Tanjiro having poor vision in his right eye and lack of control in his left arm. These were the parts that regenerated with his demonification, and they have now stopped working. Yushiro, the only surviving demon, leaves the mansion after thanking Tanjiro for his efforts.

We then see the final meeting of the Hashira. 9 Hashira were introduced during the start of the series, and only 2 — Giyu and Sanemi have survived the entire ordeal (3 if u count Tengen). With the eradication of all demons, the Demon Slayers are disbanded, and the Hashira are thanked for their priceless contribution to the fight.

Many people come to visit Tanjiro and Nezuko to wish them well for their recovery. We see some special moments as Kanao informs the Victory tree of the outcome of the battle. Apparently, after Iguro’s death, Kaburamaru is now under the care of Kanao.

We see Sanemi running into Nezuko. Sanemi was the one who voiced the strongest disapproval of Nezuko being a part of the Demon Slayers. Now that he meets her in her human form, he is reminded of his brother. He pats her head, and he leaves (this makes Zenitsu very jealous).

After paying their respects to the graves of the fallen, Demon Slayers Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke move to Tanjiro’s original village. We see them living a normal life. The final panel shows a modern-day city.
