The story follows Eris and Ruijerd handling a goblin situation while Rudeus is reunited with his father Paul and sister Norn. While Rudeus was dwelling upon ignoring his family for so long, Eris got down to some goblin slaying business.

This led to the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation OVA receiving the title of ‘Eris the Goblin Slayer.’ The episode is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, so I highly suggest you watch it right after finishing this article.

‘Eris the Goblin Slayer’ takes place during the show’s 16th episode, ‘Family Squabble.’ The main episode revolves around Rudeus and his family as he lets everyone take the day off and goes on an adventure alone.

At the end of the episode, Eris mentions something related to goblins to the protagonist, raising loads of theories among the fans about it.

Finally, the franchise gave us a definite answer with the OVA that shows what Eris and Ruijerd were up to on their day off. Fans soon realized that slaying goblins was much better than a reunion where your sister didn’t recognize you.

Nevertheless, even though Eris had a better time, the episodes still left us feeling sad due to Rudeus’ family situation.

I just hope he finds his family soon and has a joyful reunion instead of the one where his father tries to beat him up.
