Tokyo Ghoul has been one of the most popular supernatural thriller mangas of all time. It has been praised worldwide for its story and characters.
After the success of Tokyo Ghoul, author Sui Ishida is all set to introduce a new manga – Choujin X.
In November 2020, Ishida had announced that he has been working on a new series. Recently, he dropped another hint!
On his official Twitter account, Sui Ishida teased a visual for his upcoming manga, Choujin X.
While nothing much can be seen in it, the visual depicts the official logo of the series. Fans hope that Ishida will reveal further information pretty soon. Even the publishing magazine has not been officially confirmed yet.
Choujin translates to “Superhuman” in Japanese. Some fans speculate the series has a connection with the “Ghouls” from the Tokyo Ghoul manga. This is because ghouls also possess superhuman abilities.
The upcoming manga may be based on the life of Tokyo Ghoul’s protagonist, Ken Kaneki. In the “Tokyo Ghoul: Re” series, Ken had suffered some brain damage and had forgotten his past self. Many fans speculate Choujin X could be the story set in the aftermath of those events.
The anime based on the original manga aired between 2014 and 2018. It received widespread critical acclaim for its top-notch production quality and storyline.
Since the series was a huge hit, we might even see an anime adaptation of Choujin X after the manga hits stores!
The internet, right now, is full of speculations and theories. But, we can only know what’s in store for us when Ishida reveals more information! Till then, it’s time to revisit the old Tokyo Ghoul manga volumes!
