Crunchyroll announced on 22nd August that the Cardfight!! Vanguard Gaiden If anime has been added to the Crunchyroll catalogue.
The anime premiered with episode 13 being streamed on Friday at 4:40 pm (PST). The Cardfight!! Vanguard Gaiden If anime will be available for streaming worldwide except Japan.
Episodes 1-12 have been made available on Crunchyroll before the series launch.
The extra If arc of Cardfight!! Vanguard was released on 30th May in Japan instead of its previously announced April debut due to the coronavirus pandemic. The anime is animated by studio OLM (Inuyasha).

Plot of Cardfight!! Vanguard Gaiden – If
Kouji Ibuki is a card fighter who is transported to the world of “If.” However, the reality in this new world is distorted, and card fighting doesn’t exist there.
In the If world Ibuki meets magical girls called Emi and Shuka, who summon units from cards in battles to fight against the followers of Jammer. Suiko Tatsunagi was also caught up in this situation.
Together, the four protagonists begin to discover the true history and reality behind the If world.
