He might be funny but his head just might house two brains. Get ready for the return of the Butt Detective in his new movie at this year’s Toei Manga Matsuri Film Festival.
The film festival features children’s films that are screened in theaters all across Japan. This time, it will feature the third movie of the Butt Detective franchise in which the Detective must protect Souffle’s Island’s treasure from the evil hands of Kaito U.
The official website for Toei’s Manga Matsuri Film Festival 2021 has released a clip from the upcoming Butt Detective the Movie: The Secret of Souffle Island. The film is set to debut on August 13 at Toei’s Manga Matsuri Film Festival.
The clip shows us the first interaction between the Butt Detective and his assistant with the people of Souffle Island. We have our first look at the original character for the movie LuLu voiced by Rio Suzuki.
LuLu is Zaza’s daughter who is an expert at riding the island’s winds and flying. She is the inheritor and future protector of the island wind lighthouse.
The movie takes place on Souffle Island, a place where the wind never stops blowing and can change directions randomly without a moment’s notice.
Given the creative setting and the overall vibe of the clip, the movie will surely be a great addition to the Manga Matsuri catalog. The film is one of the two alongside the new Science Manga Survival movie which will be screened at the film festival.
While the movie won’t have any complex mysteries, the detective will solve them nonetheless. It will probably be a light-hearted watch, being a children’s movie. Nevertheless, everyone should enjoy a few butt jokes.
