Boruto’s New Promo Shows Mujina Bandits Arc

As Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is about to enter its initial manga arc: the Mujina Arc, the internet is rife with speculation, fan-made teasers, and whatnot. Amidst all this, some actual teaser previews were also seen.

A few weeks ago Boruto anime fans were filled with joy when the news of it finally adapting its initial Mujina Arc broke out. The first episode: Episode 141: The Ninja Prison, Houzuki Castle, is set to be released on January 26, 2020.

A Twitter user @Abdul_S17 put out a short 30 second clip on his Twitter handle which gives some insight. 

The short clip shows Boruto waking up in prison wearing prison garb. Boruto and Mitsuki were sent to Houzuki castle which is a criminal containment facility in Kusagakure to fetch a former member of the Mujina Bandits named Kokuri. Their task is to save Kokuri from possible assassination inside the castle.

The official description of the Mujina Arc is as follows:

“Houzuki Castle is a penitentiary that is difficult to break out of and is currently being managed by Kusagakure Village. It’s been decided that Boruto and Mitsuki from Team 7 would be dispatched to this castle. Imprisoned there is someone from the atrocious thieving organizations, ‘The Mujina Bandis‘ = They come into contact with a former member named Kokuri, who tried to escape from and betray ‘The Mujina Bandits‘. The two of them have been given a mission to start protecting him from the assassins from the ‘Mujina‘. Concealing her true identity, Uchiha Sarada also joins forces with them later on. And so, the escort mission for Team 7 has begun!”

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a Japanese anime series based on the manga series of the same name and is a spin-off of and sequel to Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto. Boruto is Naruto’s son and a direct descendant of the Hyūga clan through his mother.
