Boruto Chapter 47 Reveals Kashin Koji is Jiraiya’s SPOILER

Chapter 47 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations exhibits a shocking disclosure of events and proves a lot of fan theories to be true. The real identity of Kashin Koji, which was shrouded in mystery so far, has finally been revealed.

[Spoiler] The chapter is titled “Predestined Fate.” As Isshiki Otsutsuki slowly wears down Jigen’s body, soon, he requires a new vessel. The only other person who has karma and can handle Isshiki overtaking the body is Kawaki.

Isshiki soon reincarnates using Jigen’s body, which results in the Karma implanted in Kawaki to be erased. As Isshiki doesn’t have any more vessels or implanted karma, this is the only chance for Kashin Koji and the others to kill the supposedly immortal Isshiki Otsutsuki.

Isshiki Otsutsuki faces Kashin Koji in his original form and reveals a much-awaited truth about Koji. He calls him,

“Kashin Koji, clone of Jiraiya of The Great Three.”

After fourteen boys were killed in an attempt to implant karma for Isshiki, Amado decides to plan the downfall of Otsutsuki. He collects a DNA sample of Jiraiya and makes a clone out of it. Due to the continuous assaults of Isshiki, Koji’s mask cracks, therefore revealing his identity.

Kashin Koji is the clone of Jiraiya and, due to Amado’s scientific modifications, he has achieved optimum battle abilities. However, we don’t know whether he has the exact same skills as Jiraiya (being his clone). Another questionable element is whether Koji has inherited the memories of Jiraiya as well.

Jiraiya’s destiny was to mentor the Child of Prophecy. He possessed great powers, which is what must have made Amado choose his DNA to replicate.

However, Isshiki points out that Jiraiya’s ultimate fate was death, and that is an unchangeable fact. He also implies that Kashin Koji will also die in this battle, just as is predetermined by his genes

The chapter’s name “Predetermined Fate” seems to foreshadow whether Koji will die just like his original template or fulfill his cause, as Jiraiya trained the Child of Prophecy.
